Red Flag Warning Issued for Parts of Minnesota as Conditions Worsen

A Red Flag Warning has been issued across large portions of Minnesota, signaling dangerous fire weather conditions that could lead to rapidly spreading wildfires throughout the day.

The alert was announced by the National Weather Service early Monday morning.

Widespread Areas Under Alert

The warning covers central, northeast, southwest, and northwest Minnesota, including counties such as Isanti, Blue Earth, Faribault, and St. Louis, along with dozens of others. Some neighboring areas in eastern South Dakota are also affected.

Most warnings are in effect from 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM CDT, while parts of northwest Minnesota began as early as 10:00 AM.
