Washington's Sno-Park permits go on sale Nov. 1 with increased fees

Washington’s Sno-Park permits will go on sale starting Nov. 1, but winter recreationists will likely notice a jump in prices this year.

Sno-Parks are cleared parking areas in close proximity to groomed trails for residents to enjoy skiing, snowboarding, snowshoeing, snowmobiling, tubing and other winter activities. The program is self funded, and has been in operation for 12 years now, creating both permanent and temporary winter parks around the state.

For the upcoming 2021-2022 year, seasonal permits will cost $50, up from $40 last year; daily permits will cost $25, up from $20 last year; an annual snowmobile permit will cost $50 this year, up from last year’s $40; and
