Tipped semi-truck cleared from I-90 on-ramp after snarling morning commute in SODO

SEATTLE — Two tow trucks up righted a semi that had tipped on the Interstate 90 on-ramp in Seattle’s SODO neighborhood on Thursday and the road fully reopened to traffic just before 9 a.m. 

Washington State Patrol troopers and the Washington State Department of Transportation incident response crews responded after the semi tipped around 6:15 a.m. on I-90 just east of 4th Avenue S past T-Mobile Park. 

The on-ramp was fully blocked around 7 a.m. so tow trucks could work to tip the semi-truck upright. The left lane reopened to traffic around 8 a.m. and the semi as well as a construction truck were cleared from the
