No fatalities after military helicopter training flight crashes on JBLM

Authorities have not confirmed how many people were on board or if there were any injuries.

THURSTON COUNTY, Wash. — There were no fatalities after a military helicopter training flight crashed on Joint Base Lewis-McChord Monday night, according to the base. 

The accident happened at around 10 p.m. at Rainier Road Southeast and Stedman Road Southeast. 

A 7th Infantry District public information officer confirmed that an “aviation mishap” occurred on the base involving a U.S. Army AH-64E Apache helicopter during a routine training exercise. The pilots were taken to Madigan Army Medical Center for evaluation, according to the spokesperson.
