The person in the second vehicle was seriously injured in the crash, according to Washington State Patrol.
TACOMA, Wash. — A driver fleeing from Washington State Patrol (WSP) troopers crashed into another vehicle, seriously injuring the second driver, according to Trooper Kameron Watts.
Just before 9:30 p.m. in Tacoma, a trooper attempted to stop a vehicle when the driver fled. When driving off, the driver crashed into another vehicle at the intersection of East 72nd Street and McKinley Avenue.
The cars caught fire, and the trooper rescued the suspect driver, according to Watts. That driver was taken into custody for suspected DUI.
