Amazon subsidiary Zoox to test fleet of driverless cars in Seattle

One of Amazon’s subsidiary companies will be testing its driverless vehicles on the streets of Seattle over the next few months.

Zoox will unleash a fleet of automated all-wheel drive Toyota Highlanders in Seattle in an attempt to understand how the vehicles operate in unfamiliar conditions. The California-based company has tested the autonomous SUVs in San Francisco and Las Vegas, but wants to see how well they’ll maneuver in a cold, rainy metropolis like Seattle.
