Variety TV editors Michael Schneider and Emily Longeretta are on Variety’s Award Circuit, presented by Paramount+, to discuss the top contenders in the comedy race at this year’s Emmy Awards.
Two of the major contenders in this year’s Emmy race are “The Bear” and “Hacks,” which have both won in the past.
‘”Hacks,’ of course, was the big winner last time out. A surprise to everyone, we were expecting ‘The Bear’ to pick up another win, but ‘Hacks’ won the day, so they are the incumbent winner now,” said Schneider. “Jean Smart has been winning every single year and she’ll continue to as long as that national treasure
