Pixar is hoping for a much-needed win this weekend with its original animated adventure “Hoppers,” which secured the top spot at the Friday box office.
“Hoppers” earned $13.2 million on Friday from 4,000 North American theaters. Disney and Pixar expect $40 million by Sunday, a figure that could run much higher thanks to stellar word of mouth and a lack of family-friendly fare in cinemas.
