Carrie Underwood, Luke Bryan and Lionel Richie will return as “American Idol” judges in the singing competition’s 24th season, coming to ABC and Hulu in 2026.
This particular trio debuted in this year’s Season 23, which debuted in March. It marked Underwood’s first season on “Idol,” while Bryan and Richie have shared the judge’s panel since Season 16 in 2018. Until 2025, they served alongside Katy Perry, who exited the show ahead of Season 24.
There is no mention of Ryan Seacrest in the press release sent by ABC and Hulu, but he has hosted the series since its debut in 2002.
