A pedestrian was fatally struck by a vehicle on northbound State Route 7, closing the road for over three hours early Saturday.
PARKLAND, Wash. — A fatal vehicle-pedestrian collision closed northbound State Route 7 at 104th Street South in the Parkland area early Saturday morning.
Authorities said the pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene. The Washington State Patrol first reported the incident on social media around 4:15 a.m.
According to investigators, a vehicle traveling northbound on SR-7 in the second of two lanes struck a pedestrian who was also in that lane. The vehicle came to rest blocking both northbound lanes.
