“Blue Film,” a sexually charged drama about a fetish camboy who spends the night with an anonymous client, has been acquired by Obscured Releasing. The film received strong reviews, but was considered to be so controversial that several major festivals, including Sundance and SXSW, passed on the opportunity to have it in their lineups. Eventually it had its world premiere at the 2025 Edinburgh International Film Festival and later debuted in North America at Newfest this past fall.
