SEATTLE — Low clouds and fog are expected to be the biggest weather factor affecting New Year’s Eve plans in western Washington, with visibility concerns especially notable around downtown Seattle and the Space Needle.
The National Weather Service has issued a Dense Fog Advisory for Puget Sound until 10 a.m. Thursday. Forecast conditions point to a shallow, low cloud deck forming near ground level, which could partially or fully obscure views of the New Year’s Eve fireworks at the Space Needle.
