Flood derails Hidden Meadows Farm’s Christmas season

Hidden Meadows Farm’s festive transformation into a holiday village was washed away by record floods, but community support and resilience offer a beacon of hope.

SNOHOMISH, Wash. — The Christmas decorations that should have been glowing across Hidden Meadows are instead stacked in a shed, drying one piece at a time.

Floodwaters saturated several buildings here earlier this month, forcing the family-owned wedding and event venue to shut down its first-ever Hometown Country Christmas just weeks after opening.
