Thieves steal up to $1K in liquor from Belltown business in third attack since August

The owner of Meekong Bar does not believe the incidents are connected, but are symptoms of broader issues in the neighborhood.

SEATTLE — Thieves smashed the window of a Belltown bar early Tuesday morning and wiped out its liquor shelves in the third attack on the business since late August.

“The alcohol is not really the issue. The issue was that my dad actually came in and these two guys stood here. [One] was yelling, ‘F you’ in Vietnamese,” said co-owner Hung Li.

“He’s an old dude with a cane,” he said of his dad.
