Canadians Face $30 Fees, Longer Waits as U.S. Expands Biometric Checks

The Canadian Snowbird Association (CSA) has issued a formal advisory warning its members about longer processing times and new border procedures when traveling to the United States, beginning December 26, 2025. The warning follows the U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s implementation of a biometric entry and exit rule, which requires all non-U.S. citizens—including Canadians—to have their photographs and biometric data collected upon entering and leaving the country.
