Amazon Prime Day is here, and while the retailer is touting deals on electronics, bedding, luxury apparel and housewares, many shoppers are using the four-day event (July 8-11) to stock up on everyday household essentials, as fears of tariff hikes, rising prices and unemployment continue to linger.

Some of the bestselling Prime Day products from 2024 already included things like Energizer batteries, Glad trash bags, Crest WhiteStrips and Liquid I.V. packs, showing that customer intent was less about a wishlist, and more about immediate needs.
