When it comes to African animation, few names ring as loudly as AfrikaToon. Founded by visionary producer Abel N’guessan Kouame, the Abidjan-based powerhouse has become a dynamic hub for telling authentically African stories that resonate with audiences on the continent and beyond.
With a spate of projects underway, from the fifth season of its flagship series “La Petite Pokou” to a new TV5Monde co-production, “Gbassman,” about the adventures of a young Ivorian superhero, Kouame is focused more than ever on crafting local tales with universal themes.
