A widespread Winter Storm Warning has been issued across much of Texas, as forecasters warn of dangerous winter weather conditions expected from Friday through Sunday.
The upgrade from a Winter Weather Watch reflects increasing confidence in significant snow, sleet, and ice accumulations, along with dangerously cold temperatures that could severely disrupt travel, power infrastructure, and daily life across large portions of the state.
