Winter Weather Advisory Issued for 31 Counties in Ohio and Indiana

The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for 31 counties across Indiana and Ohio, warning residents of mixed precipitation expected to create hazardous travel conditions early Monday morning.

The advisory, released Sunday afternoon by the agency’s Indianapolis and Wilmington offices, covers portions of central, southern and southeastern Indiana as well as southwest and south-central Ohio.

The advisory begins between 2 a.m. and 3 a.m. EST Monday and remains in effect through mid-to-late morning, depending on location. Forecasters caution that snow, sleet and freezing rain will likely create slick roadways during the Monday morning commute.
