Winter Travel Advisory Issued Indiana as Crashes Rise and Winds Intensify

A Travel Advisory was issued Monday afternoon for multiple counties in northeast Indiana as deteriorating road conditions and a spike in collisions complicated regional travel heading into the evening commute.

The advisory covered Adams, Allen, DeKalb, LaGrange, Elkhart, and Kosciusko counties, according to the Indiana Department of Homeland Security and local emergency managers.

Lake effect snow showers will continue this evening. Strong wind gusts will gradually diminish this evening, but will remain gusty to 25 mph late evening and overnight.
