Urgent Winterstorm Warnings and Advisories Issued across Utah

Heavy snowfall, powerful wind gusts, and dangerous travel conditions are expected across much of Utah beginning Monday evening, prompting the National Weather Service (NWS) to issue multiple Winter Storm Warnings and Winter Weather Advisories statewide.

According to the National Weather Service in Salt Lake City, a Winter Storm Warning is in effect from 5 p.m. Monday through 5 a.m. Thursday for the Wasatch Mountains, Western Uinta Mountains, and the Wasatch Back, including Park City, Alta, Brighton, Huntsville, and Logan Summit.

Forecasters warn that total snow accumulations of 1 to 2 feet are likely, with locally higher amounts up to 3 feet across the Upper Cottonwoods and Bear River Mountains.
