A widespread winter weather advisory has been issued across Washington state, with forecasters warning of significant snowfall and hazardous travel conditions affecting mountainous regions.
The National Weather Service has placed at least 15 counties under advisory as a late-season storm system moves through the Cascades.
Heavy Snowfall Across the Cascades
The advisory remains in effect through Thursday morning, with snow accumulations expected to range between 4 and 8 inches in many areas, and even higher totals at elevated peaks. Regions impacted include the Cascades of Whatcom, Skagit, Snohomish, King, Pierce, and Lewis counties.
