Urgent Winter Message Issued for Four Counties in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula

The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued an urgent winter weather advisory for four counties in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula, warning of hazardous travel conditions due to lake-effect snowfall and strong winds through early Wednesday morning.

The advisory, issued Tuesday morning by the NWS offices in Marquette and Gaylord, covers Alger, Luce, Northern Schoolcraft, and Western Chippewa counties and remains in effect until 7 a.m. EST Wednesday.
