The National Weather Service (NWS) in Mount Holly has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for Sussex County in New Jersey and Carbon and Monroe counties in Pennsylvania, warning residents to prepare for hazardous travel conditions from Thursday evening through Friday morning.
According to the advisory, the alert will be in effect from 7 p.m. Thursday until noon EST Friday, as a system bringing mixed precipitation moves across the region. Forecasters expect a combination of snow, sleet, and freezing rain that could create slick roads and dangerous travel conditions during the Friday morning commute.
