A tornado warning was issued early this morning for multiple counties in central and southern Mississippi, as severe weather conditions continued to sweep through the region following yesterday’s destructive storms in Oklahoma.

According to the National Weather Service (NWS) in Jackson, MS, two separate tornado warnings were issued between 6:28 AM and 6:34 AM CST, targeting Leake, Madison, Marion, Lamar, and Jefferson Davis counties.
