Tornado Warning Issued for These 2 Counties in California

The National Weather Service (NWS) issued a Tornado Warning on January 6, 2026, for San Mateo and Santa Cruz Counties, alerting residents of potential tornado activity in the region. The warning, based on radar-indicated rotation, was in effect until 4:15 PM PST, and covered South Central San Mateo and Northwestern Santa Cruz Counties.
