A tornado warning has been issued for parts of south-central and central Pennsylvania after meteorologists detected a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado on Wednesday afternoon.
The alert was issued by the National Weather Service (NWS) in State College at 3:45 p.m. EDT, urging residents in the affected areas to take immediate precautions.
The warning covers northwestern Bedford County, south-central Cambria County, and northeastern Somerset County, where a dangerous storm system was moving rapidly through the region.
