A tornado warning remained in effect Tuesday evening across parts of central Oklahoma, including areas of Oklahoma City and surrounding counties, as meteorologists tracked a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado and large hail.
The warning, issued by the National Weather Service (NWS) in Norman, covered northeastern Grady, southwestern Oklahoma, northwestern Cleveland, southeastern Canadian, and northwestern McClain counties. Officials said the warning was set to remain in place until 7:15 p.m. CDT while the storm moved through the region.
