A powerful late-season winter storm is set to impact large parts of California’s mountainous regions, with the National Weather Service (NWS) issuing urgent warnings for 16 counties across the Sierra Nevada.

Heavy snowfall, strong winds, and hazardous travel conditions are expected to intensify through midweek, raising concerns for residents, travelers, and emergency services.
