The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued Winter Weather Advisories across wide areas of Massachusetts, Maine, and New Hampshire, warning residents of dangerous road conditions, potential power outages, and a mix of snow, sleet, and freezing rain starting Saturday evening through Sunday.

According to the latest advisories from the NWS offices in Gray, ME; Albany, NY; Boston/Norton, MA; Burlington, VT; and Caribou, ME, residents across much of the Northeast should brace for a rapidly intensifying winter weather system bringing a combination of snowfall, sleet, and ice accumulations.
Massachusetts will experience freezing rain starting around 5 PM Saturday.
