Snowstorm Warning Intensifies across Oklahoma, and parts of Texas, Arkansas

The latest Winter Storm Watch alerts have been upgraded to Winter Storm Warnings for Oklahoma, northern Texas, and northwest Arkansas.

Forecasters warn of potentially life-threatening snow and ice conditions expected this weekend.

The National Weather Service (NWS) has upgraded winter storm watches to warnings as of late Wednesday and early Thursday, with snow, sleet, and freezing rain projected to cause hazardous travel, power outages, and dangerous wind chills from Friday morning through Sunday.
