Pennsylvania and New Jersey Under Winter Storm Warning ahead of Post-Christmas System

A winter storm watch is now in effect for parts of eastern Pennsylvania and southern/central New Jersey, with forecasters warning that a fast-moving system could bring disruptive snow and, in some areas, a period of sleet or freezing rain from Friday afternoon, December 26, into Saturday morning, December 27.

The National Weather Service (NWS) office in Mount Holly issued the watch for a corridor that includes Philadelphia and nearby suburbs—Carbon, Berks, Lehigh, Northampton, Philadelphia, Montgomery (east and west), and Bucks (upper and lower).

In New Jersey, the current watch highlights Camden plus parts of Burlington and Ocean counties, including coastal sections.
