North Florida Under Dangerous Dense Fog Advisory Warning

Mariners and coastal residents in North Florida are being urged to exercise heightened caution today, as the National Weather Service (NWS) in Tallahassee has issued a Dense Fog Advisory for key marine areas, including St. Andrews Bay Waterways and coastal waters stretching from Mexico Beach to Apalachicola, Florida.

The advisory, issued at 11:17 AM EST on Wednesday, January 7, 2026, warns that dense fog will continue to reduce visibility to one nautical mile or less throughout the day, creating dangerous navigation conditions for vessels and commercial marine operators.

According to the National Weather Service, the advisory will remain in effect until 6:00 PM CST this evening.
