New York Snowstorm Warning Remains in Effect for 15 Counties

A widespread winter storm warning remains in effect across 15 counties in New York State, as heavy snow, lake-effect bands, and dangerously cold wind chills continue to disrupt travel through Friday.

The warnings were reaffirmed Thursday afternoon by the National Weather Service, covering large portions of western, central, and northern New York.

According to the latest advisories, snowfall totals vary significantly by region, with the most intense accumulations expected in areas prone to lake-effect snow, including the Tug Hill Plateau, parts of Monroe County, and higher elevations south of Buffalo.
