The security operation will begin in Quintana Roo on December 11 and will end on January 7 after the Three Kings Day celebrations, reported Julio César Gómez, Secretary of Security.
The officer commented that they will assign around 600 officers from the Secretariat of Citizen Security (SSC) of Quintana Roo, who will be distributed throughout the territory to reinforce security.
He explained that the arrival of more tourists is expected compared to 2022 due to the situation in Guerrero, which was affected by Hurricane Otis, so the most important tourist destinations in Quintana Roo will be security-reinforced such as Cancun, Playa del Carmen, Tulum, and Isla Mujeres.
