A tornado warning was issued Tuesday night for parts of northwestern Indiana after weather spotters confirmed a large and extremely dangerous tornado near North Judson, according to the National Weather Service (NWS) in Northern Indiana.
The warning covers central Starke County and south-central La Porte County and was set to remain in effect until 9:00 p.m. CDT, as the storm tracked east across the region.
Officials described the event as a “particularly dangerous situation,” urging residents to seek shelter immediately as the tornado moved toward populated areas.
