Massachusetts is bracing for a powerful and potentially crippling winter storm, as the National Weather Service (NWS) has placed the entire state under a Winter Storm Warning from Sunday morning through Monday evening.
“Heavy snow expected. Total snow accumulations between 12 and 17 inches. Winds gusting as high as 30 mph,” the NWS stated in its Winter Weather Message for Massachusetts.
With the potential for over a foot of snow in many regions and hazardous travel conditions, authorities are urging residents to prepare now and limit unnecessary movement during the storm.
