A significant winter storm is expected to bring heavy snow, hazardous travel conditions, and prolonged disruptions across New York and Connecticut from early Sunday through Monday evening, according to the National Weather Service (NWS).
Forecasters say confidence has increased in both the storm’s intensity and duration, prompting continued Winter Storm Warnings across much of the two states.
The system is expected to impact millions of residents, with snowfall totals ranging from 8 to more than 18 inches, and locally higher amounts in elevated terrain.
