A powerful winter storm is set to sweep across parts of northern New England today, prompting the National Weather Service to issue Winter Storm Warnings for large portions of Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont and adjacent areas of New York.
Forecasters warn that heavy snowfall, hazardous travel conditions and potential power outages are likely from late Friday morning through early Saturday.
