Heavy Snowstorm Warning Issued for 17 Counties in Pennsylvania as Forecast Worsens

A major winter storm warning has been issued across 17 counties in Pennsylvania, with forecasts predicting heavy snowfall and hazardous conditions through Monday, according to the National Weather Service (NWS).

The warning, which came into effect at 7 PM Saturday and extends until noon on Monday, highlights worsening conditions and expanding impact zones as the storm system strengthens.

Heavy Snow and Mixed Precipitation Forecast

The affected counties — spanning from Mercer and Venango to Indiana, Clarion, and Forest — are bracing for accumulations between 10 to 17 inches of snow, with some areas in higher elevations also expecting a light glaze of ice, making roads treacherous and travel dangerous.
