A widespread and dangerous heatwave continues to grip large portions of the southwestern United States, with authorities warning residents across California and Arizona to take urgent precautions as temperatures climb well above seasonal norms.
According to the National Weather Service, multiple regions remain under an Extreme Heat Warning through at least Sunday evening, with some areas expected to see temperatures exceeding 110°F.
Dangerous Temperatures Across Multiple Regions
The warning affects vast areas including southeastern California, southwestern Arizona, and parts of southern Nevada. Cities such as El Centro, Blythe, Phoenix, Yuma, and Palm Springs are among those facing prolonged exposure to extreme heat.
