The National Weather Service (NWS) office in Austin/San Antonio has issued a Dense Fog Advisory for parts of South Central Texas, including Bexar County, in effect until 10:00 AM CST on Saturday, December 20, 2025. The advisory warns of visibility dropping to 1/4 mile or less in some locations, a threshold that can quickly make routine driving hazardous.
In its public hazard statement, the NWS cautioned drivers that “Expect reduced visibility of 1/4 mile or less over some locations,” urging motorists to slow down and allow extra stopping distance during the morning hours.
