Central Indiana residents woke up to dangerously foggy conditions this Wednesday morning, with the National Weather Service (NWS) issuing a Dense Fog Advisory for the region.
The advisory, which remains in effect until 11:00 AM CST, warns of visibility reduced to less than half a mile, potentially creating hazardous travel conditions, especially during the early commute.
According to the NWS Lincoln Office, the advisory covers a broad area, including Springfield, Decatur, Peoria, Lincoln, and Jacksonville, among others. The affected counties include Knox, Peoria, Fulton, Tazewell, Logan, Cass, Menard, and Christian, to name a few.
