Fully vaccinated travelers no longer need to produce a negative Covid-19 prior to departure to Bali to be permitted entry. The outdoor mask mandate was also lifted.
Tourism operators in Indonesia’s tourism-dependent islands of Bali, Batam, and Bintan have expressed their gratitude to the government for their decision.
“This decision will have a positive impact on the tourism industry,” Mr. Djunaidi, the general manager of Cassia Bintan, told CNA Wednesday.
According to authorities, lifting the mask mandate was made based on an analysis of evidence from across Indonesia showing that the Covid-19 pandemic is under control.
However, they called for vulnerable people, the elderly, and people with Covid-19 comorbidities
