American Airlines is launching two new direct Caribbean routes from Austin to Mexico and Jamaica with one-way tickets starting at $191. Operations will start on June 11.
The airline will face off against Southwest Airlines, another American low-cost airline that will begin service to the same routes on the same date.
“We’re proud to strengthen our commitment to Austin by providing local customers more options to fly nonstop to popular destinations,” said Brian Znotins, American Airlines Vice President of Network Planning.
