Expedia[3] Inc. said it’s buying Australian online travel firm Wotif.com Holdings Limited for $658 million.
Bellevue-based Expedia (NASDAQ: EXPE) said the purchase will enhance its position in the Asia-Pacific market.
“Wotif Group will add to our collection of travel’s most trusted brands and enhance our Asia-Pacific supply, while Expedia will expose Wotif Group’s customers to our extensive global supply and world-class technology,” Expedia CEO Dara Khosrowshahi said in a statement.[4][5]
Late last month,[6] Expedia said it’s buying European online car rental reservation company Auto Escape Group for an undisclosed sum.
