WNBA veteran becomes latest player to suffer ACL tear

Seattle Storm veteran Katie Lou Samuelson has suffered an ACL tear, the team announced on Saturday. The 27-year-old forward signed with the Samuelson in the offseason after spending the 2024 season with the Indiana Fever.

In her five-year career, Samuelson has played for the Chicago Sky, Dallas Wings, Seattle Storm, Los Angeles Sparks, and Fever, averaging 5.9 points per game and 2.5 assists on 38.9% shooting. Fresh off of maternity leave, she saw a diminished role last season — averaging the lowest minutes (18.2) and field goal percentage (34.9%) since her rookie.
