The Patriots have not clinched the AFC East, however, as the Bills remain alive in the race for the division crown.
Update (Sunday afternoon): With the Houston Texans winning against the Las Vegas Raiders, this potential path to the playoffs is no longer valid for the Patriots.
New England can still clinch a playoff spot with a win tonight over the Baltimore Ravens, or an Indianapolis Colts loss or tie against the San Francisco 49ers on Monday night.
