The NBA Finals is going to a Game 7 for the first time in nine years, and just the eighth time since the NBA/ABA merger in 1976. The matchup between the Oklahoma City Thunder and Indiana Pacers was immediately derided by the public for its small markets and lack of household-name superstars, but this series has been a basketball diehard’s nirvana. The season ends on Sunday night, June 22, in Oklahoma City either way when the Pacers and Thunder play one game for the championship.
