It goes without saying that buying a ticket to an NFL game doesn’t give you the right to shove players, but here we are. After a DeAndre Hopkins scored a big-time fourth quarter touchdown he was celebrating close to the wall, when a Bills fan reached over and smacked him hard on the helmet, before doing the same to Lamar Jackson.
Lamar wasn’t having any of it.
Al Michaels and Cris Collinsworth were quick to condemn both sides, but sorry, I don’t subscribe to that mess. It would be one thing if Hopkins leapt into the stands, or tried to provoke opposing fans — but this was a fairly standard celebration.
